Our Story

Meridian Law was established in 2018 by a group of legal professionals who recognized a growing need for specialized counsel in Thailand's international commerce sector. Based in Chonburi Province, we positioned ourselves to serve businesses engaged in cross-border trade through Thailand's eastern seaboard ports.

Our founding partners brought together expertise in customs law, maritime commerce, and infrastructure development. This combination allowed us to address the overlapping regulatory challenges faced by companies operating at the intersection of international trade, shipping operations, and construction projects throughout the region.

Over the years, we have refined our practice to focus on three core areas where our combined experience provides the most value: international trade and customs advisory, maritime and shipping law, and construction and engineering contracts. This concentration allows us to maintain current knowledge of regulatory developments and build productive relationships with relevant government departments.

We serve clients ranging from established multinational corporations to emerging regional enterprises. What unites them is the complexity of their legal needs and their requirement for counsel who understand both Thai regulatory frameworks and international commercial practices.

Quality Assurance

All legal documents undergo internal review before delivery to clients. We employ systematic research practices and maintain current knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations, and case law developments.

Professional Networks

We participate in legal professional associations and maintain relationships with counsel in complementary practice areas. This allows us to provide appropriate referrals when matters fall outside our core expertise.

Responsive Service

We maintain regular communication with clients throughout the course of their matters. Inquiries receive timely responses, and we provide status updates at appropriate intervals based on the nature of the engagement.

Our Approach to Legal Practice

We believe effective legal counsel begins with understanding the commercial context of each matter. Before addressing legal technicalities, we invest time learning about our clients' business operations, strategic objectives, and practical constraints. This foundation allows us to provide advice that is both legally sound and commercially realistic.

Our practice emphasizes clear communication. Legal issues often involve complex regulatory frameworks and technical terminology, but we strive to explain matters in accessible language. Clients should understand the legal landscape they are navigating, the options available to them, and the implications of different courses of action.

We approach each engagement with attention to proportionality. The level of legal analysis and documentation should match the nature and importance of the transaction or dispute at hand. While some matters warrant exhaustive research and detailed documentation, others benefit from practical solutions that conserve client resources.

Thailand's legal and regulatory environment continues to develop, particularly in areas affecting international commerce. We maintain awareness of these changes through professional education, regulatory monitoring, and participation in legal forums. This ongoing effort helps us anticipate how evolving rules may affect our clients' operations and transactions.

Our geographic position in the eastern seaboard region provides practical advantages. We maintain working relationships with local offices of relevant government departments, including the Customs Department and Marine Department. These connections facilitate efficient coordination when matters require governmental input or approval.
